Founder grace is a discounted, early-bird pricing window granted manually by the Bokko team to Open Beta participants and early-adopter accounts. Its purpose is to let you keep the discounted price for a defined period after public launch (GA), before transitioning to the standard list price.
Who is eligible?
Founder grace is granted manually by an admin — it is not automatic and cannot be self-requested. Typically it is given to Open Beta participants and early-adopter accounts; the Bokko team decides who receives it.
If you are eligible, a "Your Founder discount is active" banner appears on the Plans page of your dashboard, showing the remaining days and an "Activate at Founder price" button.
Which plans are covered?
Founder grace can be granted on the following plans:
- Starter — at Founder price, monthly billing
- Pro — at Founder price, monthly billing
- Business — at Founder price, monthly billing
How long does the discount last?
Founder grace lasts 12 months from the grant date (calendar-month basis). You can see the exact expiry date on the Founder banner on the Plans page: "Expires in X days."
As the expiry approaches, the system sends reminder emails 90, 60, and 30 days before the end date, so you have time to activate the Founder price or prepare for the transition to standard list pricing.
How to activate the Founder price
During Open Beta, Bokko is free to use, so the actual checkout flow runs after GA. The steps are:
- Open the Plans page on your dashboard.
- On the "Your Founder discount is active" banner, click Activate at Founder price.
- On the Stripe checkout that opens, enter your card details.
- After successful payment, your subscription continues at the discounted Founder price for the remainder of the period.
What happens when it expires?
When the 12-month Founder grace window ends, a scheduled Bokko job (daily at 04:00 Europe/Budapest) automatically removes the discounted status from your subscription. From that point on:
- Your subscription continues at the standard list price on the current plan.
- Your existing features and plan tier do not change — only the price returns to the standard level.
- Your booking page, guest data, and settings remain untouched.
Changing plans during the Founder period
While your subscription runs at the Founder price, plan changes (upgrade or downgrade) are not currently supported. If you need a different plan, wait for the Founder window to end or contact Bokko support.
