My block: day off and custom hours

As a provider, the My block button lets you mark when you are not working: a full day off or your own working hours for a day.

My block marks when you are not working: a full day off, or your own working hours for a given day. Guests cannot request a time with you on the online booking page for the blocked time.

InfoProviders and the Owner can create a block for themselves. Managers cannot; they manage staff working hours and exceptions on the staff profile (see: Managing a staff member's working hours).

Creating a block

  1. On the Overview page, press My block. You also find it as an icon on the Appointments page.
  2. In Date, choose the day: today or one of the next 30 days.
  3. Under Type, choose Full day for a day off, or Custom time range and enter when you work that day.
  4. If you like, fill in Reason (optional), then press Create.
  5. In the Calendar, the My block marker appears at the top of your column, and the unbookable time is dimmed.

Rules

  • There can be one block per day, even if the owner or the manager has already set a day off or custom hours for you that day.
  • If you already have a booking or a pending request that day, the block is not created: sort out that day's bookings first.
  • A custom time range does not extend your working hours beyond opening hours.
  • The owner and the manager can knowingly override the block when they record a booking manually.

Deleting

In the calendar, tap the My block marker and press Delete in the Delete my block window. This works for today and later days; a block on a past day cannot be deleted. You cannot delete a day off set by the owner or the manager.
