The Publish page separates real activation blockers from softer recommendations. This helps you see what must be fixed before guests can book, and what is only recommended before going live.
Hard blockers
Hard blockers disable the Activate online booking action until they are resolved.
| Checklist item | What it means | Where to fix it |
|---|---|---|
| Basic details provided | Your salon basics are incomplete or missing. | Business |
| Has active service | You do not have an active service that can be offered. | Services |
| Opening hours configured | Weekly opening hours are not set up. | Schedule |
| Booking rules are valid | Your booking rules are missing or invalid. | Booking rules |
| Has working notification channel | Bokko cannot use a valid notification setup yet. | Notifications |
Warnings
Warnings do not block activation. They are quality recommendations shown before publishing.
- Address not provided: guests may not immediately understand where the service is available.
- Appears in search is off: your salon can still work by direct link, but it will not appear in Bokko's public search.
- Booking preview not completed or stale: Bokko recommends walking through the guest flow again before publishing.
Live, but action required
If the booking page was already enabled earlier, Bokko can show a Live, but action required state. This means the page is still marked live, but your current setup no longer passes all hard checks.
In that case, guests should not be treated as fully covered by your current setup until you resolve the blockers shown on the Publish page.
Recommended order
- Open Publish and review the failed checklist rows first.
- Resolve every hard blocker using the shortcut buttons that open the right settings page.
- Go through the booking preview if Bokko still marks it as not done or stale.
- Decide whether you also want public discoverability before publishing.
- Return to Publish and activate online booking.
