Managing notification settings

How to configure SMS and email notification channels in Bokko, where reminder toggles live, and when a separate notification email address is required.

The Notifications screen controls the owner-facing notification channels and the reminder toggles used by Bokko. It also includes a second tab where you can open the email template editor.

Notification channels

SMS notifications are feature-gated and are available from the Starter plan. Email notifications can be enabled separately.

Notification email address

If you enable email notifications, Bokko asks for a dedicated notification email address. This address is validated before the settings can be saved.

Bokko stores the address in lowercase and uses it as the destination for those email notifications.

Reminder toggles

  • 24-hour reminder sends SMS or email on the day before the appointment.
  • 2-hour reminder sends SMS or email 2 hours before the appointment.

These reminder settings are controlled separately from the channel switches, so you can keep a channel enabled while changing which reminder windows are active.

Email templates tab

The second tab on the Notifications screen opens the email template area. From there you can edit supported email templates and open the email branding screen.

Saving

Use Save after changing the channel switches, the notification email, or the reminder toggles. On success, Bokko offers the Publish page as the next step.
