Missing notifications are usually caused by channel configuration, a wrong notification email address, or SMS reminder quota issues. Go through the checks below in order.
1. Check your Spam or Junk folder
Emails can sometimes land in spam, especially the first time. If you find it there, mark it as "Not spam" and add support@bokko.app to your trusted contacts.
2. Check the notification email address
- In the dashboard, open Notifications.
- Make sure the email channel is enabled if you want email notifications.
- Verify that the notification email address is correct.
- Save the settings and test again with a new booking or reminder window.
3. For SMS, check what Bokko actually sends by SMS
Bokko uses SMS quota for reminder SMS only: 24-hour and 2-hour reminders. New booking requests, booking confirmations, cancellations, and declines are email-based. If the missing message was not a reminder, check email delivery first.
4. Check reminder toggles and SMS add-on quota
Open Notifications and check whether the 24-hour and 2-hour reminder toggles are enabled. Then open Subscription and review the SMS add-on section. The base monthly SMS allowance is 10 on Starter and 30 on Pro, and an active SMS package can increase it further. If the available SMS allowance is exhausted, Bokko falls back to email reminders where the email channel is enabled.
5. Check the system status
If everything above looks correct, review the current system status at status.bokko.io. If there is an incident affecting notifications, it will be listed there.
