Not receiving notifications

If owner or guest notifications are missing, this guide helps you check the configured email channel and reminder settings.

Missing notifications are usually caused by channel configuration or a wrong notification email address. Go through the checks below in order.

InfoDuring Open Beta, all notifications and reminders are delivered by email. The SMS channel is not active right now — it becomes available after Bokko's public launch (GA).

1. Check your Spam or Junk folder

Emails can sometimes land in spam, especially the first time. If you find it there, mark it as "Not spam" and add notify@bokko.app (Bokko's sender address) and support@bokko.app to your trusted contacts.

2. Check the notification email address

  1. In the dashboard, open Notifications.
  2. Make sure the email channel is enabled if you want email notifications.
  3. Verify that the notification email address is correct.
  4. Save the settings and test again with a new booking or reminder window.
TipThe notification email address is separate from your login email. Notifications go to the address configured in Notifications, not to your account login address.

3. Check the reminder toggles

Open Notifications and check whether the 24-hour and 2-hour reminder toggles are enabled. During Open Beta the reminders are delivered by email only; incoming requests, confirmations, cancellations and declines also arrive by email.

4. Check the system status

If everything above looks correct, review the current system status at status.bokko.io. If there is an incident affecting notifications, it will be listed there.

InfoIf none of the checks above solves the issue, write to support@bokko.app from the email address linked to your account.
