Selling a pass to a guest

How to issue a pass from the guest’s profile, what to do with the pass code, and what happens if the guest loses it. Available from the Pro plan.

Issuing a pass starts from the guest’s profile — that is where the guest is, and a pass is registered to one. The daily work is therefore two clicks: guest, then template.

  1. Open the guest’s profile from the Guests menu.
  2. Scroll to the Passes section and click Sell a pass.
  3. Pick a template from the list.
  4. Bokko issues the pass and shows you the pass code.

The pass code — hand it over right away

WarningThe pass code is shown only at the moment it is issued. We do not store it in readable form, so neither we nor you can show it again later. Copy it and hand it to the guest before closing the dialog.

The code is the guest’s proof of entitlement: whoever holds it can redeem the pass on the booking page. That is deliberate — it is what makes use within a family work, without asking for a phone number or an email address.

If the guest loses the code

Open the pass from the Passes list and press New code. Bokko issues a new code and the old one stops working immediately. The balance, past redemptions and bookings in progress are unaffected.

Voiding and correcting

  • Void — the pass can no longer be used. This cannot be undone; the record of past movements stays.
  • Balance correction — for fixing something that drifted. Bokko works against the value you saw on screen: if a redemption happened in the meantime, the correction does not overwrite it, it tells you.
