From the Newsletter menu you can send email campaigns to guests who gave their consent. Sending goes through Bokko’s email path, with delivery logging and automatic unsubscribe handling.
Collecting subscribers (double opt-in)
Bokko always uses double opt-in: a guest only joins the active list after clicking the link in a confirmation email. The process can start in two ways:
- During booking — the guest ticks the newsletter checkbox at the end of the booking flow.
- Manually, from the guest profile — using Subscribe a guest, when consent was given in person or on paper. Bokko still sends the confirmation email.
Building a campaign
- Open Newsletter in the left menu.
- Click New campaign.
- Enter the subject and the sender name.
- You can start from a ready-made layout with Choose a template.
- Write your content. Placeholders in braces (e.g.
{guestName}) are replaced with the guest’s and the business’s details when sending. - If you want, attach a promo code or a booking button to the email.
- Use Send a test to myself to see exactly how it looks.
Review and send
Before sending, the Review & send step shows the number of Recipients, and with several locations whether you are targeting All locations or one specific location.
After sending, Campaign details shows the Send outcome, the delivery status, and the list of Skipped and failed recipients — for example people who unsubscribed in the meantime or whose address is undeliverable.
Quota
- Pro plan: 1,500 emails / month.
- The quota resets at the start of each calendar month.
- It can be extended with 1,000-email add-on packs, up to the ceiling shown on the Plans page.
You can track current usage in the Newsletter quota section and on the Plans page.
Unsubscribing
Every newsletter carries a mandatory unsubscribe link at the bottom. When a guest clicks it, Bokko immediately deactivates their consent and they are left out of the next campaign. You can also withdraw consent yourself from the guest profile with Revoke subscription.
