With Bokko's Newsletter feature, you can send email campaigns directly from your dashboard to guests who have previously provided their consent. This feature helps with guest retention and promoting special offers.
Collecting subscribers (double opt-in)
In compliance with GDPR regulations, Bokko uses a strict, two-step subscription process (double opt-in):
- The guest can check an optional newsletter subscription box at the end of the booking process.
- The system sends an automatic confirmation email to the guest.
- The guest is only added to your mailing list after they confirm their intent by clicking the link in that email.
Creating a campaign
- Go to the Newsletter section in the left-hand sidebar of your dashboard.
- Click the New campaign button.
- Enter the email subject and the sender name (defaults to your business name).
- Compose your content. You can use simple formatting and links.
- Use the Send test button to check the appearance by sending it to your own email address.
- Finally, click Send now.
Monthly limits
The number of emails you can send each month depends on your subscription plan:
- Starter plan: 1,000 emails / month
- Pro plan: 2,000 emails / month
The quota resets on the first day of every month. You can track your current usage on the Newsletter page or under the Subscription menu.
