Buffer time is the extra time blocked before or after a service — for example for preparation, cleanup, or travel. Buffers are configured per service and apply automatically to every booking of that service.
Setting up buffer time
- Open Settings > Services.
- Click the service you want to add buffer time to.
- In the edit form, set Buffer before and/or Buffer after (0–120 minutes, in 5-minute steps).
- Save.
How it works
The system adds buffer time to the total blocked duration in the calendar. For example, if a service is 60 minutes long and you set a 15-minute buffer after it, the system blocks 75 minutes in total. The next booking can only start after that full window.
Common use cases
- Cleanup or preparation — e.g. washing tools after a treatment.
- Travel between locations — if you work across multiple sites.
- Equipment cooling or warm-up time — e.g. devices that need time between uses.
- Documentation — if you need time to write notes after each appointment.
