Gift cards

Gift cards let you issue prepaid cards to your guests: either a balance amount or a voucher tied to a specific service. Available from the Pro plan.

Gift cards let you issue prepaid cards to your guests. The guest enters the card code during booking, and the system automatically redeems the balance or the service covered by the voucher.

InfoThe gift card feature is available from the Pro plan. On lower plans the screen is locked.
WarningOpen Beta: manual gift card issuance and redemption already work. Public online gift card purchase (guests buying gift cards directly from the booking page) will activate after GA.

Two types: balance or service voucher

  • Balance: the card holds a monetary balance (e.g. HUF 20,000). The guest redeems it at booking, and the balance is reduced up to the booking total. Any remainder can be used later; if it's not enough, the guest owes the difference.
  • Service voucher: the card is tied to a specific service (e.g. "Women's haircut"). The guest can only book that service with it. The voucher is locked at a fixed value — if the price increases, the guest pays the difference.

Issuing a new gift card

  1. In the dashboard open the Promotions menu, then the Gift cards tab.
  2. Click New gift card.
  3. In the Type field choose Balance or Service voucher.
  4. Enter the Amount or Voucher value. For a service voucher pick the Covered service.
  5. Optionally fill in Recipient name, Recipient email and Note.
  6. If you want an expiry, click Set expiry and pick the date. If left empty, the card will be No expiry.
  7. Press Issue. The system generates a unique code that you can hand over to the recipient.
InfoAfter issuing, the Gift card issued screen appears with the code. Save it or send it to the guest — the code is always readable later in the card details.

Redemption at booking

On the booking page summary step, the guest types the code into the Gift card code field. The system checks that the card is active and valid, then shows the applied discount on the Redeemed gift card (preview) line. The actual redemption only happens when the booking is confirmed.

Balance, history and voiding

A card's detail view shows Balance, Initial value, Type and Expiry, plus a Balance history section that lists every movement: Issue, Redemption, Correction, Refund, Top-up, Void, Expire.

  • Correct balance: if a manual correction is needed (e.g. wrong issuance), open the card, click Correct balance, enter the New balance value and confirm.
  • Void: to revoke a card, use the Void button. The remaining balance is lost and the card can no longer be redeemed.
  • Statuses: Active, Depleted (zero balance), Voided, Expired.

Public gift card purchase (after GA)

Public gift card purchase will allow guests to buy a gift card directly from the booking page: they pick a denomination, enter an email, and after online payment receive the code. This feature is not active during Open Beta — it will switch on after GA. Until then, all gift cards are issued manually from the dashboard.
