Blocking guests

Learn how to manually block guests, how automatic no-show blocking works, and what a blocked guest sees when trying to book.

Bokko allows you to restrict certain guests' access to your booking page. Blocking is designed to protect your calendar from unreliable or abusive guests.

Manual blocking

  1. Go to the Guests page on the dashboard.
  2. Find and click on the name of the guest you want to block.
  3. In the top right corner of the guest profile, click the Block Guest button.
  4. Select the reason for blocking (e.g., No-show, Abusive behavior, Payment issue).
  5. If needed, write a brief internal reason.
  6. Confirm the blocking.

Automatic blocking

In the Pro plan, Bokko can automatically block guests based on their No-show history. You can set this up on the Booking Rules page.

  • You can set how many no-shows should trigger an automatic block.
  • Automatically blocked guests can be found on the Guests page using the 'Blocked' filter.
  • The system records that the source of the block was the automatic no-show monitor.

What does a blocked guest see?

When a blocked guest tries to request an appointment on your booking page:

  • At the end of the process, after entering their details, they receive an error message: 'Booking is currently not possible. Please contact the service provider.'
  • The guest cannot submit the booking request.
  • You will not receive a notification about the failed attempt, but you can see the number of 'Failed Attempts' on the guest's profile.

Unblocking a guest

  1. Open the profile of the blocked guest.
  2. Click the Unblock Guest button.
  3. After confirmation, the guest can request appointments on your booking page again.
