Setting booking rules

Booking rules define how far ahead guests can book, how late they can cancel, and when the booking window closes.

Booking rules help you avoid unwanted last-minute bookings and cancellations. You set them once, and Bokko applies them automatically.

Where can I find booking rules?

  1. In the dashboard, open the Booking rules page.

Available settings

SettingWhat it meansExample
Bookable up toHow far in advance guests can request an appointmentUp to 60 days ahead
Booking close timeHow long before the appointment a booking can still be madeAt least 2 hours before
Cancellation deadlineHow long before the appointment guests can cancelAt least 24 hours before
Approval modeAutomatic or manual approvalManual approval
TipIf you often accept walk-in guests, you can set the booking close time to 0 minutes. That allows real-time booking when a slot is available.

Automatic vs manual approval

Manual approval means you review every request yourself. This is the default mode. Automatic approval means Bokko accepts the request immediately if the slot is available.

WarningWith automatic approval, the guest receives confirmation right away, and you cannot reject the request afterward. Use it only if you fully trust your booking flow.
