Booking rules help you control booking timing, guest self-service actions, and the protection settings shown on your booking page. You set them once, and Bokko applies them automatically.
Where can I find booking rules?
- In the dashboard, open the Booking rules page.
Available settings
| Setting | What it means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum notice | How soon before the appointment a guest can still book | At least 2 hours before |
| Maximum advance booking | How far ahead guests can book | Up to 30 or 60 days ahead |
| Cancellation deadline | How long before the appointment guests can cancel | At least 24 hours before |
| Guest cancellation | Whether guests can cancel confirmed bookings themselves | Enabled |
| Guest rescheduling | Whether guests can request a different time | Enabled |
| Deposit | Show and require a fixed or percentage deposit on the booking page | 20% deposit |
| Card guarantee / no-show fee | Collect a card and charge a no-show fee instead of a deposit | 5 000 HUF no-show fee |
| Custom policy text | Extra policy text shown to guests on the booking page | Arrival or cancellation policy |
| Waitlist | Optionally let guests join a waitlist if the feature is enabled | Enabled, with a configurable 1-90 day expiry (30 days by default) |
TipSome booking protection features are plan-based. If a switch is locked on the Booking rules page, upgrade from the Subscription page to enable it.
Important behavior to know
Deposits and card guarantees are not active together. If you turn on a required deposit, Bokko turns off the no-show fee flow for that setup. Guest cancellation and guest rescheduling are controlled separately, so you can allow one without the other.
WarningChanging booking rules affects future booking behavior and what guests see on the booking page. Review the page after saving if you changed deposits, card guarantee, or custom policy text.
