The Push notifications block lives in the Notifications section of the Settings screen. This is where you enable time-critical push notifications in your browser — for example new booking requests, cancellations, reschedule requests, or calendar sync failures. Bokko never sends marketing push notifications.
Enabling push
- Open the Settings → Notifications screen in the dashboard.
- Scroll to the Push notifications section.
- Switch on the Push notifications on this device toggle.
- Bokko shows a short explanation dialog — click Continue.
- Allow Bokko notifications in the browser prompt that follows.
On success your browser is registered with the Bokko push service. The registration is tied to that specific device and browser — if you sign out or use a different browser, you will need to enable push again there.
Permission states
| Banner | What it means |
|---|---|
| This browser does not support push notifications. | The browser (e.g. an older mobile browser or a private window) does not support web push. Try Chrome, Edge, or Firefox in a normal window. |
| Your browser blocks push notifications. | Site permissions in the browser block Bokko. Allow notifications via the lock icon next to the address bar. |
| Push permission was revoked. | You previously allowed push but have since revoked it in the browser. Re-allow it in the browser settings, then toggle the Bokko switch off and on. |
Quiet hours
When push is enabled and the browser permission is granted, the Enable quiet hours toggle appears. With it you can define a daily window during which Bokko will not send push — for example overnight.
- Switch on Enable quiet hours.
- Set the Start and End hour between 0 and 23.
- Changes save instantly to your account (not per device).
Disabling push
Switch off Push notifications on this device. Bokko unregisters that browser's push token and will no longer push to this device. The browser permission itself is not changed — if you re-enable later, you will not need to re-allow it unless you revoked it manually in the browser.
