Approving or rejecting a booking

Learn what happens after you approve, reschedule, reject, or cancel a booking request in the actual Bokko workflow.

Approvals, reschedule proposals and rejections are part of the daily workflow when you use manual confirmation. This article explains what happens after each action in Bokko for both you and the guest.

After approval

  • The guest receives an email with the confirmed time, service and location.
  • The appointment is added to the calendar and, if Google Calendar sync is active, it is also pushed to the staff member's or business's connected calendar according to your current push mode.
  • Later, Bokko can send reminder notifications according to your notification settings.

After rejection

  • The guest receives an email about the rejection.
  • The request disappears from the pending list.
  • The time slot becomes free again and another guest can book it.
WarningA rejection is a terminal decision for that request. If you change your mind afterward, create a new appointment manually or ask the guest to submit a new request.

After proposing a different time

  • Bokko sends the guest a reschedule proposal with the new date and time.
  • The booking stays in the reschedule workflow until the guest accepts, declines, or asks for a different time.
  • If the guest asks for a different time, the item can return to the action flow as a request again.

Cancel an approved booking

  1. Click the approved booking in the calendar.
  2. Click Cancel.
  3. The guest receives a cancellation email.
