Create a manual booking when the guest arranges the appointment with you directly — by phone, in person or in a message — instead of sending a request through the booking page.
Create the booking
- In the dashboard, open New booking (the Manual appointment screen).
- Select the service.
- Select which staff member the booking is for. This is required, and only staff assigned to that service can be selected.
- Choose the guest: pick an existing guest profile from the picker, or type in a new guest's details.
- For a new guest, enter an email address or a phone number — at least one is required. (For an existing guest profile, Bokko uses the stored contact details.)
- Optionally add a note.
- Click Create appointment.
Things to watch for
- Without a phone number there is no SMS reminder for this booking. Without an email address there is no confirmation or reminder email either.
- Continue without a guest profile: if you choose this, no guest profile is created and Bokko does not ask for contact details — even the name is optional. For a future appointment it warns you that no reminder or confirmation can be sent.
- Blocked guest: if the guest is blocked, you can override the block, but the override is recorded in the audit log.
- Staff–service pairing: if the selected staff member is not assigned to the service, Bokko will not let you save.
Redeeming a pass at booking
If the guest has a valid pass, you can redeem a session against it right on the manual booking form. See Redeeming a pass for details.
What happens after saving
After a successful save, Bokko records the appointment and takes you back to the Appointments view. If you linked an existing guest, the booking stays connected to that guest profile and appears in their history.
