Google Calendar sync is usually reliable, but it can stop working after Google access is revoked or when the integration enters a sync error state.
Symptoms
- New bookings do not appear in Google Calendar
- Busy times from a connected staff Google Calendar no longer block availability in Bokko
- The integration shows Sync error or Access revoked - reconnect required
Fix: check the integration state first
- Go to Integrations and open the Google Calendar section. Also check the affected staff member's calendar section if the problem is tied to one person.
- If the state is Sync error, try Re-sync first.
- If the state is Access revoked - reconnect required, use Reconnect and approve Google access again.
- If you still want a clean restart, you can disconnect and then connect again.
- After the connection is healthy again, upcoming bookings can sync normally.
InfoReconnect and re-sync are not the same. Re-sync retries upcoming bookings on the existing connection, while reconnect creates a new authorized connection.
Microsoft Outlook specific errors
Outlook sync is staff-level, so the error message appears in that colleague’s own calendar section.
| Message | What it means and what to do |
|---|---|
| Your organization’s administrator may restrict calendar access. | An administrator in the company Microsoft 365 tenant has blocked calendar access for applications. Ask IT to allow it, or connect a personal Microsoft account instead (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live). |
| Microsoft calendar access is incomplete. Reconnect with full access granted. | Not every requested permission was granted during connection. Reconnect and leave all access checked on the Microsoft screen. |
| Microsoft access was revoked. | The colleague (or an administrator) revoked Bokko’s access. Reconnect. |
| The Microsoft subscription expired. | The calendar watch expired and needs renewing. Reconnect the calendar. |
| Microsoft API error. | A temporary problem on the Microsoft side. Wait and retry; if it persists, check the system status. |
If reconnecting does not help
- Check status.bokko.io. If there is an incident in the integrations section, the cause is system-wide.
- If there is no incident, email
support@bokko.appand include the connected Google account address or addresses involved.
