Bokko supports three payment providers: Stripe, Barion and SimplePay. Only Stripe enables card guarantees (no-show fee) and tokenised card charging. If you want to use card guarantees, connecting Stripe is required.

Create a Stripe account
If you don't have a Stripe account yet, register at stripe.com. Bokko only supports Stripe Standard accounts — this gives your business full ownership of the Stripe account, including payouts, refunds and the full Stripe dashboard.
Connect from the dashboard
- Open Settings > Payment connections.
- Click Add Stripe.
- Bokko creates a connection record and opens the Stripe onboarding flow in your browser.
Complete onboarding on the Stripe side
- Enter your business details (legal entity type, tax ID, address).
- Add the bank account where payouts will be sent.
- Upload identity verification documents.
- Once complete, Stripe redirects you back to the Bokko settings page automatically.
Activate the connection
- Once onboarding is complete, the connection status becomes Ready to activate.
- Click Activate — from this point Stripe is your active payment provider.
- If you previously had Barion or SimplePay active, it becomes inactive automatically.
What becomes available after connecting Stripe
- Deposit collection — guests pay by card on a Stripe-hosted checkout page.
- Card guarantee — the guest's card is stored on the booking but not charged automatically.
- No-show fee — if the guest doesn't show up, you can charge the stored card from the dashboard.
- Refunds — deposit can be partially or fully refunded from the booking details.
